Novabuild 2012, Exhibition for Eco-Construction, Rehabilitation and Sustainable Urbanism
Minimizing energy consumption and the use of resources is the new target for the construction and
rehabilitation markets. This includes the full life cycle of a building from planning to demolition
as well as better urban development.
Buildings and construction of buildings are one of the largest energy consumers and emitters of CO2
into the atmosphere and must be adapted to, new sustainable parameters to reduce a negative impact.
We must maximize our resources to ensure that a growing world population has a decent future.
Novabuild, will be held from February 29 to March 2, 2012 in Valencia informing to the
construction sector how to transform itself, what business opportunities could surge from
sustainable construction and which are the latest technologies and trends to move towards
a green and economically attractive future.
Fourth Edition of the Forum for Sustainable Construction
Alongside the exhibition, the new show will host the fourth edition of NOVABUILD Forum for Sustainable
Construction in Valencia, organized by the Valencian Institute of Building (IVE) in collaboration
with the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Environment of the Generalitat Valencia Expand text
The Forum is a permanent space for meetings, information, discussion and consensus of sustainable building
topics of the Administration, of representatives coming from social, economic and environmental sectors and
citizens in general. A meeting that is organized in thematic groups that promote the realization of
training seminars, publications and other research activities. The Forum will address issues related
to energy rehabilitation, the use of new technologies for urban diagnosis or emerging business
opportunities related to sustainability in the building sector.
In addition taking place will be international meetings to promote the technology cooperation,
organized by the Chamber of Valencia and REDIT under SEIMED ( Enterprise Europe Network centers
in Valencia and Murcia, with the collaboration of the Institutes of Technology).
